I'm in TATLER!

Tatler Asia July 2013
Happy to see meditation make it over into the world of beauty…  Here I am quoted in a Tatler Asia (July 2013) article about rekindling the feelgood factor of summer in the heavy depths of winter.

The non sub-edited version of my advice in a nutshell is: what you resist, persists. An effective – and counterintuitive – response to the winter blues is to practice accepting them. Literally sit (in stillness and silence) with your fuggy mind, lethargy, introversion and feel them. Be with them, without judging them or wanting to feel different.

The energy spent in pushing away your feelings means even less energy available to help you feel better. Obvious, once you see it, isn’t it?

So, in feeling your feelings they – with practice – get to literally move through you. And once they’ve gone, what’s left is space… Space for new energy, for lightness, for freshness.

NB. There is no guarantee how you’ll feel afterwards. It could be serene. It could be sod-this-I-need-a-drink.
